Dr. Robert Rosenthal is a 1983 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry of Salus University. He received a certificate of clinical excellence in the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center for low vision. His internship was in Primary Eye Care at Lankenau Hospital, J.F. Kennedy Hospital, and The Eye Institute for which he was a distinguished recipient of honors at all three locations.
He established a private practice in Newtown, PA with clinical interests including treatment and management of ophthalmic diseases. Advancements in contact lenses including both therapeutic and cosmetic uses, retinal disorders of the eye, and systemic disease with ophthalmic complications such as hypertension and diabetes.
His practice, ROSENTHAL MEDICAL ASSOCIATES, is shared with his identical twin brother, a dentist. For over 30 years, they have built relationships with patients through a strong focus on education.
Dr. Rosenthal says patients really want to be educated about the comfort, vision, and health benefits of contact lenses so that they understand why he has chosen a particular lens for them. Especially when it might be different from what their neighbor is wearing.
He bases his selection on patient needs, and always considers comfort. “If you prescribe lenses that are comfortable, not just on initial fit, but all day, patients will be thrilled.”
Dr. Rosenthal is a past president of his local Medical Society and is the 1993 recipient of their Doctor of The Year.
In 2006 he was voted A TOP DOCTOR and has proudly been elected to that panel for each subsequent year.
